That or all the paladins get hit by a love potion (like the first person you see is who you become infatuated with and Lance and Pidge see each other first) and all the paladins start acting differently within their pairing apart from Pidge and Lance. And they both have to work out what’s going on with they others and when they figure it out that’s how they find out about their crushes on each other >:3c
